Alternate Vision

As indefinable as the word "Goth" is as a culture, it appears that this modern movement started as a component of the punk rock scene, but then broke off into its own subculture.
It also appears to me that there are so many facets to this sub culture, be it their fascination with medieval history, body piercings, the colors black and white, weird fetishes, or their unique music, art and literature. This is true for most any sub culture though.
Wearing of symbols such as the christian cross, or the egyptian ankh aka "eye of ra", or the "eye of horus" ie the satanic inverted pentacle is banal amongst goths. They also tend to be passive, tolerant and all for peace.
Have always been fascinated by the morose subculture of gothic fantasy. Yet by no means do I subscribe to it.
