On biofuels

Fuels made from mixed prairie grass could reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere i.e they are carbon negative, while corn ethanol (what Brazil uses) and soybean biodiesel are carbon positive. The key would be to grow them on degraded land. - NSF
