Guevara

An insurgent, a totalitarian and a complete vagabond. As much as there aspects of his philosophy that I have fundamental issues with, from him I will always draw the art of revolutionary honesty, heroism and self-less sacrifice. Che's 30th death anniversary today.

Comments:
couldn't agree more. I have read "diarios de motocicleta" a few times over now in addition to other chronicles on him. Marxist zeal aside, there's much to think about on studying the man.

I may not be a huge Che Guevara fan but i was highly inspired after watching the movie 'The motorcycle diaries'. The determination and perseverence of one man and his passion to survive, that gave courage and a reason to live to the millions in latin America. And of course along with Fidel Castro, who was another icon during that era!

Nice blog by the way! =D

he looks like my friend pedro from the co-op on gudalupe st. in that picture. cheers!

Surya, Madison came to Austin, you coming to Egypt for New Years?

only if I board that Al-Akbar ship that leaves from the NYC harbor next week. Either that or I swim.

So do you live in NYC now??

No. Pittsburgh, PA where the sun don't shine. ever.

When are you coming further out East, buddy?

I'll visit Pittsburg if you come to Eastern PA or NY!

Not sure if you got the Memo Saki, but there's a bruhaha a brewin' for the weekend of the 22nd. Wonderwomen and Surya from Austin, KG from Madison, and Frances from AI/Seattle will all be in town for one magical romp through the streets of the New York City.
